Ice storm and new camera
My old camera just stopped sensing light one day. I’m not sure why it died, but I got a new camera for Christmas, a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T70, which has a motion stabilizer and a cool and big touch screen to control it. I picked it because it’s small enough I can keep it in my purse and yet it has most of the features I wanted. I wouldn’t mind being able to zoom more but that requires a much bigger and more expensive camera. But this one does 3x which is better than the 2x on my old camera.
The first picture below is one I took on the first day I was playing around with the camera. Leia likes to sleep in the laundry basket and my son had picked up the laundry basket with her in it and sat down with it in his lap. I was just snapping pictures of anything and everything but really liked how this one came out.
The other pictures are inspired by a friend who took a lot of pictures of snow and ice this past winter that I really liked. I tried to copy some of her techniques... I don’t like mine as well, but that’s ok. A couple turned out pretty well. They were taken February 22 after an ice storm here.
