Snow 2009 - liz4cps http://www.liz4cps.com/Main/Photos/Pages/Snow_2009.html We only had two real snows this year. The first was at the end of January. My son went out to shovel snow once the snow had settled down. Our border collie, Luath, went out with him and makes the shoveling a lot more fun by trying to catch the snow. This is so much fun that I even made a video of it! I’m very new to making videos and can’t seem to resist narrating some; hope you enjoy it, anyway! I am proud of my son for all the work he does with the shoveling. In that first snow got about 4 inches of snow, and got "winter mix" on top of it which changed the top of the snow into ice, making it very heavy. It was almost something you could ice skate on. It lasted quite a while for us with all that ice. The February 1 picture was taken late in the day after the high had been 63F earlier that day. The biggest snow of the year came March 1-2 when we got about 5” of snow after close to 70 F weather the weekend before. Yet the snow again hung around for a few days afterwards. March truly “came in like a lion and went out like a lamb” this year. January 27 - first snow.
